We are frequently asked about the Zoom! Teeth Whitening System. This is a simple, yet effective way to create an instant smile makeover.
A common question asked is, “Does teeth whitening hurt?” The answer is no. In fact, here is exactly what takes place while a patient is going through the Zoom! whitening process.
First, the patient is asked to wear protective glasses. Next, their teeth are isolated and gums protected with a special, protective material. A whitening gel is then painted onto the teeth. The Zoom! light is then directed at the bleaching gel to accelerate the whitening . Dr. Maddahi likes to offer our video system to watch a movie or patients can relax while listening to music through headphones.
Another commonly asked question is, “How long does it take?” The Zoom! whitening process typically takes about an hour and a half.
Many patients are curious about the post-whitening care. It is recommended that for the next 48 hours after whitening, dark staining substances should be avoided. The Zoom! whitening process typically lightens one’s teeth six to ten shades. Avoiding staining foods or beverages and receiving regular teeth cleanings will help keep them that way.
In addition, we also offer our patients same-day, take home bleaching trays. This helps a patient to maintain the new whiteness of their teeth.
What a great, fast and easy way to create a much brighter and whiter smile!
Did you know, according to survey, people with whiter teeth appear younger, wealthier and smarter to others?
